It's not only His identity, or His position in eternity. It's His character. It's His nature in light of His authority as king.
He's existed since the beginning, and has inherited the rights to rule over all creation, yet He delays in judgement because of Grace. His love and compassion compels Him to allow every possible chance for His people to decide to choose Him before the appointed end.
He could have come and acted in any manner He chose, but by decision, He lived as a servant. He modeled leadership with humility and love. He focused his energy on the broken and downcast...even the outcasts of society.
He challenged the oppressive nature of religion without God, institutions that insult truth, and cultural mindsets that destroy. He revealed the Father, who is not only the Creator, but One who Cares deeply for His Creation.
He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. He makes disciples friends, and the creation, family. He even delegates and shares authority with those who believe.
Being fully God, He humbled himself to the point of becoming a man. He submitted himself to the human experience, with all of the struggles and temptations, so that He could fully identify with the condition of those He created.
Although fully submitted, He did not sin. Instead, He chose a more difficult path. Following the will of the Father, He chose to endure the cross. He allowed His own creation to scorn Him and to take His life.
To prove the power of the Father, God raised His son Jesus back to life after three days in the grave, and created a whole new playing field over death.
Now, we don't only have a God who is fully man, but a man who is ressurectected over death into life, and is glorified as fully God.
His triumph over death allows all who would believe in Him to gain full access into life for eternity in the presence of God (The Father, the Son, and the Spirit).
But again, the amazing part is not only what He demonstrated, it's that of his character and nature, which does not change. He is a God who truly loves, and patiently serves.
He gives grace to the humble, and opposes the proud. He'll be found by anyone who would diligently seek Him with all their heart, and He's willing to help in our time of need.
He loves so much that He's given every person an opportunity and a chance to be free from the consequences of sin with it's heavy guilt, shame, and condemnation.
He's a friend to sinners, and He forgives radically. (Even those who watched His life asked, "Who is this who even forgives sins?").
Are you tired of running? Has the weight of life become too much? Are you tired of trying to do everything on your own?
Put your faith in Jesus. Pray a simple prayer and ask Him to forgive you for ________ . Give Him your life and ask Him to lead you. Ask the Father to fill you with His Spirit completely. Then get ready, and whatever happens, don't let go. You're life is going to change. No matter how difficult, and no matter how long it takes, it will be really good.
Get involved in a community of believers, a church, who believe the word of God, the Bible, and practice what Jesus taught, including prayer. Make it a habit of talking to God daily and share your life with Him.
He loves you a great deal, and He's very good. Give Him a chance to take your burdens, and learn from Him so that you can experience true peace.
Jesus, the prince of peace, the son of God. One who loves, and one who serves.
God Bless You!
